The Challenge

Hām needed a logo that captured its heart: elegant and distinctive, with bold elements that still feel familiar. Working closely with co-founder Rose Tuckey, the visual identity had to match the restaurant's Art Deco interior and its stylish, vintage ambience.

Brand Story

Art Deco-dence

The Approach

"Hām" is Old English for "home" — a fitting anchor for a neighbourhood restaurant that wanted to feel like somewhere you could always come back to. That idea, paired with the geometry and glamour of the Art Deco movement, became the visual language: bold, symmetrical, warmly lit.

Colours

A palette pulled straight from the room — the warmth of aged brass, the cool weight of stone, the quiet green of the booths.

The Outcome

The identity now runs through the menu, signage, and social presence — bold and symmetrical where the room is bold and symmetrical, warm where the room is warm.
