Scott USA
A global art collaboration, passed from artist to artist across continents — one canvas, one long story.

The Brief
Scott USA had a wild idea for their snowboarding products: a global art collaboration that felt like a creative chain letter, passing one canvas from artist to artist across continents, each adding their own piece to the story.

The Approach
When the canvas reached South Africa, I was the third artist to contribute — the only one chosen from the entire African continent, which meant a great deal. I painted a fisherman, fitting for a canvas that had already crossed an ocean with a long journey still ahead. At the time I went by "Further," a nod to Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters' bus, worked into the piece as both signature and a marker of the distance between each artist involved. That piece became the hero image on the final packaging and t-shirt design.

"Working with Jason is an excellent experience. He is a talented, hard-working professional that is passionate about his craft."
The Outcome
A surreal, proud moment: a painting born from a single South African contribution to a global chain, ending up as the face of the product itself.
